OK this is the belated first post in a challenge I sent my self at the end of last year to basically make money from design in some way and this is my blog to record what I did and how I did it.
Let me tell you a bit about me. I'm based in the UK near Manchester and want to earn an income from being creative, design, photography etc and this is the path I've started on since the start of 2010.
I don't currently earn anything from design, I don't have any qualifications in it as such, but I have always had a "flare" as they say for it. Now I know that they'll be probably half a planet of people who say the same thing and some very very talent artists and designers just waiting to be discovered, but that's my point, they aren't being discovered to their full potential.
If you read online you'll see that for many designers they slog their guts out for bits of work here and there, so I know it's tough, but I think that you need as much business acumen as you do creative flair to make money from your designs, so that's what I've set myself the target to achieve by the end of 2010, make some money, any money at all and this will be a success to me and if I fail, lets hope I enjoy the journey.
So follow my blog to see what I did, how, when, where and why. Learn by my success and avoid my failures I would suggest.
Now I'm slightly into this project and haven't put up anything yet because I've been up till all hours trying to get things moving, so my next post will be a quick catch up to where I am now.
